The information we collect from you will be used to maintain your services with us and to represent the quality of our work to others, such as in our online portfolio.
OWNERSHIP OF WEBSITE DESIGN
Upon completion of a website design and payment of related fees, the client is the owner of the commissioned website. By renting, a website design remains the property of Music Web Designer. The client may continue to use the commissioned website to promote the client’s company or organization regardless of whether he/she chooses to continue further services with Music Web Designer.
The client does not have the right to resell the design or development to other companies nor does he/she have the right to add pages onto the existing site or have another company add pages onto the existing site using the commissioned website design/development. The client does not have permission to reuse pieces of our work in a redesigned website that gives another company design credit.
We do not take responsibility of added files from client or third parties. We guarantee the functionality of the website as delivered. If you rent a website we take care of backups and plugin updates to ensure the website is working. If you buy a website after we deliver it, we only give a guarantee for 3 months on our installed plugins and programming.
OWNERSHIP OF WEBSITE DOMAIN NAME
Website domain names are leased from domain name registration companies. When Music Web Designer registers a domain name for a client, that registration will be made in the client’s name. Upon payment of any outstanding fees, the client has the right to use that domain name regardless of whether he/she chooses to continue further services with Music Web Designer.
Domain name renewal and renewal fees are the responsibility of the client. If the client chooses to have Music Web Designer renew the domain name on behalf of the client, an additional service fee will apply. Clients are advised to closely monitor the renewal date of a registered domain name and to verify that the renewal of said domain name has been completed. Music Web Designer cannot be responsible for expired domain names.
OWNERSHIP AND COPYRIGHT
All text and photos used as content in a commissioned website must be provided by the client (unless Music Web Designer is responsible for content development). The client must have ownership or written permission to use all content he/she provides for use. It is up to each client to ensure his/her design and/or content does not infringe on any trademark, service mark, or copyright.
Music Web Designer cannot be responsible for intellectual property infringements on behalf of clients. Also, Music Web Designer cannot be responsible for submitted content. Clients should not mail irreplaceable photos or documents or send content that must be returned.
PROJECT INITIATION
The initiation of a web design or development project requires a signed or electronically submitted signup form, payment of the amount of the initial web design/development fees, plus the client elements that are required to be used in the design. A separate list with required elements will be sent. The advance payment is non-refundable. If the client wishes to cancel the project after payment of the advance, the final payment is not applicable and we will delete the account. This is applicable only on rented websites. All purchased websites are not refundable after advance payment.
PROJECT DURATION ON RENTED WEBSITES
If you are rent a website the minimal rental period is 12 months. After the first period you can cancel your contract at anytime. The new monthly fee has to be payd every first day of the month.
OUR TWO BUSINESS DAY TIMELINE
Two business days are the estimated time after payment for delivery of the Mockup Phase - Music Web Designer takes pride in handling requests in a timely manner. Starting from the date of the project initiation as defined above, and delivery of all requested information from client, Music Web Designer will submit the rented website to the client within two business days. If the site is purchased, delivery will be made within 5 to 7 days.
If the client requires modifications to the design or has other elements to mock up, such as custom animation, we request two more days delivery on subsequent mockups starting from the time the feedback is given on the original/previous mockup.
Music Web Designer can only guarantee the delivery of the website if the client transfers the data according to specification and on time.
ADDITIONALS
For additional functionalities, additional content integration, additional pages or any items which are not part of the package, Music Web Designer will send a cost estimate first. Additional rates are € 80.00 per hour work.
Swiss law exclusively will be applicable.
